How to increase Data Transfer speed of PenDrive? [Part 1]

As we all know, a pendrive takes a lot of time while transferring data.Transferring large files take a very long time and your time is wasted while waiting for the transfer to complete. So, today, in this tutorial, we are going to discuss on how the data transfer speed of pendrive can be increased.

Things Required:

A computer with an Operating System installed (Windows is recommended.), An USB/PenDrive

How to Do?

Before beginning this tutorial, I would like to request you to do a backup of the data in your PenDrive because they might be important for you.

Let's Begin!

Steps:

1. Insert your PenDrive into your computer.

2. Right click on your PenDrive drive and click on Format.

3. After clicking on Format, make the configuration as shown in the below screenshot.
i.e. Make the File system as NTFS. In 'Allocation unit size', select 'Default allocation size'. And, Uncheck the 'Quick Fomat' option in 'Format options'.
Note: We are changing the File system to NTFS because it is a better file system and data transfer rate is faster in it than the FAT, FAT32 or xFAT systems.

4. Then, Click on Start and then, Click on OK

5. Then, wait for a few seconds until it gets completed. After it is completed, close the 'Format' window. And, finally, the data transfer speed of your PenDrive will increase.

Part 2 of this tutorial will be posted soon.
